物語の第1幕中盤、エルファバとグリンダがエメラルド・シティ（オズの都市）を初めて訪れ、“一日だけ”の観光を楽しむ華やかで陽気なシーン。二人は街の壮麗さに驚き、観光客として市内を駆け回る。さらに、二人は魔法使いに謁見するためウィザードの前へ向かう。
