Best quiet spots in London?

I’m a big fan of the Thames path, particularly the stretch between Kingston and Putney bridge

Yeah it’s great right! You can get an awesome long walk in, with a good pub lunch on the way, or a number of shorter but equally nice walks. Not forgetting Kingston to Hampton Court as well

Yep love the Hampton Court bit and Bushy/Home Parks. The national trust (Ham House) is also a lovely stop off.

The walk near Teddington lock is lovely and peaceful.

The east side can be very quiet, between Tower Bridge and Greenwich or Greenwich and docklands/the O2 on both North and South banks. Especially this time of year. Weekends in the City can be pretty off the main roads too.

Holland Park is nice. Reasonably central and has a cafe. Has peacocks 🦚and a Japanese garden. Only really gets busy in the summer. I like the whole surrounding area, never gets too busy except for Notting Hill markets.

The koi pond area is beautiful and generally quiet, or was when i lived in holland park.

If its the weekend I find the City a fascinating place to wander, its pretty much deserted then and if you like that kinda thing has a fascinating mix of the latest architecture and the very old. Just avoid the massive tourist scrum round the Tower of London.

Yes Golders Hill Park is great. Also another nice spot is the graveyard adjacent to Hampstead Parish Church (St John Hampstead). Very quiet and hidden. Good spot. And the family that inspired Peter Pan is buried there, among other famous folks.

Barbican is my place. I go around the church by parts of the Wall, it's so peaceful even when it's busier in the Barbican.

I spent so much time wondering around the estate feeling almost completely alone - an amazing experience to have so centrally. And the history behind how the Barbican was developed is interesting.

I came to say this! Only went there once so wasn't sure if it was an unusually quiet time and might be busier in Summer. The Dickens Inn was great as well.

At lunchtime, Lincoln's Inn. Not Lincoln's Inn Fields, but next to it. in a ring of georgian buildings, old oaks, there's a chapel which unless anything has changed you can just wander in to. Calmness in the centre of the city (also check out the soames museam just around the corner, the do candlelit tours this time of year) also middle temple, south of fleet street through here and other places https://maps.app.goo.gl/LkuaanShKB2hvyMT8 again especially for lunch people will think you just work there. if you see these doors with a pedestrian entrance just walk in... whats the wost that can happen. being open without a security guard makes it a public space.

Big fan of the Walthamstow wetlands, super relaxing to walk around and see the water . Out the way of the city without being on the middle of nowhere

Walthamstow is completely free no need to book or pay. There is a visitor centre if you do fancy a sit down or coffee

Just south of Liverpool St off Bishopsgate, there's St Botolph's-Without Gardens, basically a churchyard but it has benches and is beautifully peacefully once you're 20 yards from the main road. You can also cut through to some pretty empty side roads which are much more pleasant to walk down.

リヴァプール・ストリートの少し南、ビショップスゲートから入ったところにSt Botolph's-Without Gardensがある。実質は教会の敷地だけどベンチもあって、幹線道路から20ヤード入れば驚くほど静か。そこから空いてる裏道に抜けると散歩も気持ちいい。

Horniman gardens in Forest Hill, it’s a bit busy at the weekend as there’s a market on Sunday but quiet otherwise. I find it such a calming place. The rookery in Streatham is also lovely and peaceful The Old English garden in Battersea park Walking around Barnes-Thames path can be quiet.

I came here to say Horniman Park. If OP wants to wander a bit, Dulwich Park, One Tree Hill, Nunhead Cemetery, and Sydenham Wood are all near to each other. I’m off to walk Sydenham Wood -> Dulwich Park > Horniman Park -> One Tree Hill -> Nunhead Cemetery-> Peckham Rye today myself. It is the perfect wander / sit / breathe circuit IMO. Grab a book, sit in each spot for a bit. Perfect.

They also have a great cafe, highly recommend the tuna crunch panini.

Lewisham Park. Lewisham has a lot of parks (nearly 50) but Lewisham Park its self is always quiet, probably because of its proximity to Ladywell fields with its sports facilities, cafe and loos etc. Its especially nice in the spring with a cherry tree walk. It was originally a private garden for the surrounding houses in about 1850 so there are lots of mature trees. The houses surrounding the park are lovely but in true london style on end is marked by some 60s tower blocks.

ルイシャム・パーク。ルイシャムには公園がたくさん（約50）あるけど、ルイシャム・パーク自体はいつも静か。近くのレディウェル・フィールズにスポーツ施設やカフェやトイレがあるから、そっちに人が流れるのかも。 春は桜並木が特に良い。 1850年ごろは周辺住宅の私有庭園だったから、立派な樹木が多い。 周りの家並みは素敵だけど、ロンドンらしく片側の端に60年代のタワーブロックがある。

The Walthamstow Marshes always make me feel so restored. Went for a long walk around there durng twixmas and basically had the whole place to myself. Bliss.

Not quite Finsy, fellow. If you're talking Central, SOAS University of London (School of Oriental and African Studies) has a Japanese Peace Garden on the roof. Last time I went there I was the only person there. I don't know the rules of access, but last time I just strolled right up with no questions asked.

I just discovered how easy it is to get to Epping Forest on the central line. Beautiful and peaceful. I went to Loughton and it’s a nice peaceful easy walk to the forest with a good cafe on the way. I also love Kew but $$. Even just sitting on a bench at the south bank can be really peaceful. My dad has a heart on the Covid wall opposite parliament and I like sitting there when I visit. Great market with amazing cakes outside the hospital there (I think thursdays).

セントラル線でエッピング・フォレストに行くのが意外と簡単だと最近知った。美しくて静か。ロートンに行ったけど、森までの道も歩きやすくて落ち着いてて、途中に良いカフェもある。キューも大好きだけど高い…。サウスバンクのベンチに座るだけでもすごく落ち着くことがある。議会の向かいのCovid wallに父のハートがあって、行くとそこで座るのが好き。あの病院の外にすごいケーキがある良いマーケットもある（たしか木曜）。

The olympic park, stratford is well lit at night with plenty of walking routes past the bars in hackney wick, the copperbox and the aquatic centre.

ストラトフォードのオリンピック・パークは夜も明るくて、ハックニー・ウィックのバー、コッパーボックス、アクアティック・センターの方へ歩けるルートが色々ある。

I love St Dunstan in the East. There can be a fair few people quietly having their lunch there and wedding photos are popular, but it feels like stepping back into a fantasy fairy land with the Shard incongruously peeping through the windows.

Elizabeth Line to Abbey Wood, then a five minute walk to Lesnes Abbey Woods. Walk around the gardens and woods, or just sit in peace on one of the benches. I also recommend nipping to Chestnuts for coffee and homemade cake before you leave.

エリザベス線でアビー・ウッドへ行って、徒歩5分でレンズ・アビー・ウッズ。庭と森を歩くのもいいし、ベンチで静かに座るのも良い。帰る前にChestnutsでコーヒーと手作りケーキもおすすめ。

bushy park is great! it can get quite busy on a sunny day but i’ve always found when it’s cold and frosty outside (esp early in the morning) the smaller paths are pretty empty. i love watching the deer. it’s not central though so if u don’t live SW it can take a bit of time to get to

victoria by bucks palace road, or opposite the station you will find some quaint shops and cool eateries with a buzzing relaxed atmosphere

ヴィクトリアならバッキンガム宮殿ロード沿い、または駅の反対側に、可愛い店と良い飲食店があって、ほどよく活気があるのにリラックスした雰囲気。

The areas around the Isle of Dogs are pretty quiet. I often walk down from Canary Wharf to Greenwich through the city farm and the foot tunnel. Then on to Greenwich park then Blackheath then I get the train back to Peckham.

アイル・オブ・ドッグス周辺はかなり静か。私はよくカナリー・ワーフから、シティファームとフットトンネル経由でグリニッジへ歩く。それからグリニッジ・パーク→ブラックヒース→電車でペッカムに戻る。

Myatts Field Park is my fav spot for a quiet walk.
